Overview

Don't let Minothor's middling base speed stat fool you. The combination of the Rusher trait with utility moves such as Purgation and Hypnosis allows Minothor to disrupt or buff as it pleases. When piloted properly, this is a fast electric type that covers the weakness of its neutral allies and locks down enemies that could otherwise threaten it, giving Minothor's allies a easier time to swap in or to allow Minothor to get one final kill before falling. This guy is mostly played as an Electric tem with utility and speed, and its Mental coverage is nice albeit usually just considered a bonus.

This is a basic offensive Minothor set that focuses on SPD and ATK to frag out. The speed investment is enough to outspeed max speed base 100s at +2 SPD (Ukama, Gyalis), which are the fastest Temtem in the game besides Amphatyr. This also means that your priority moves outspeed theirs. 68 stamina is enough for Sparkling Bullet, Blackhole or Hasty Lunge, and Piezoelectric Blow.

Minothor enjoys being placed next to Neutrals for Sparkling Bullet, Natures for Hasty Lunge, and Earths for Blackhole.

Alternative options:

A bulkier spread can be run that drops some ATK for HP and SPDEF. A spread like this is good if you want to run Purgation and Taser. All sets should run Blackhole and Sparkling Bullet, since Blackhole is important coverage and Bullet is a good low stamina option, especially with Taser and synergy.

Minothor has very quickly caught on as a top meta support, taking advantage of the free speed buffs offered by Rusher to function as an amazing lead, mixing powerful electric and mental damage with impressive utility with Taser, Blackhole and Purgation.

This TV spread is for a supportive Minothor, that makes a great addition to any team that can give it synergy on its two electric attacks, Sparkling Bullet and Hasty Lunge. These are decent moves in their own right, but truly unlock their power with synergy. Taser and Rusher make these techniques great defensively as well as offensively. Blackhole is the only notable physical mental attack Minothor has, and it, too, becomes much more powerful with synergy. Purgation helps Minothor further support. A offensively-oriented Minothor can opt to drop some bulk for attack power, and swap Purgation out for Piezoelectric Blow.

Minothor is a great partner for earth, nature, and neutral tems. Chimurian, Cerneaf, and Rhoulder all greatly appreciate Purgation, the defensive value of Taser, and give Minothor synergy for its attacks.
